Point out to them that this ballroom is 2/3 the size of a freakin' Costco. Have them imagine that scale in a room that'd be used occasionally and whose cost to build is more than 10x the price of a Costco.
Not to diss Costco, of course, but folks know how big they are (about 150k sf).
