I just learned that I get that I have 24/7 "live" channel dedicated to random episode of the classic TV series THAT GIRL starring Marlo Thomas with my Smart Monitor!
I wish the show was available on demand, but I'll take it!

I've always wanted to see THE WIZARD OF OZ on the "big screen," and J. & I now have tickets to see a 35mm screening at Chicago's Music Box Theatre this Saturday.

Can't wait to see the Wicked Witch of the West's face as she taunts Dorothy when she's looked in the room with the hourglass!

I see that the full schedule for this year's TCM Film Festival is now available.
Since I would've opted for the Classic pass, my choice of movie to kick-off the event would have been SUDDENLY, LAST SUMMER, followed by HUD.

I watched MARGOT AT THE WEDDING on #CriterionChannel. I'm still processing it.
I'm huge fan of Noah Baumbach's writing. He has such insight into family dynamics.
The relationship between Margot (Nicole Kidman) & her son had some unsettling similarities to the one between my mother & me.

I just saw that SHOWGIRLS is coming to Criterion Channel in April 2025.
I've only ever seen the edited-for-TV version.
I'm wondering if *maybe* this is the time to finally see the theatrical cut . . .

I want to recommend Anna Biller's THE LOVE WITCH (2016), which leaving #CriterionChannel at the end of March.
J. & I watched it this week in 2 installments due to our cray cray schedules.
Samantha Robinson performance in the title role is wonderfully stylized.
A great homage to 1960s camp!

I've been re-watching episodes of THAT GIRL.
My sister & I used to watch the show on Sundays in the 1990s when it aired in syndication on a local Chicago TV station.
I think watching this show was what started my love of mid-1960s fashion.
Watching the opening with Ann in Manhattan makes me happy.

Don't go to X anymore, but I read an article about a post there by J.D. Vance claiming federal judges had no authority to check Trump's executive orders I had to reply & provide a refresher to him about powers granted in the Constitution to the gov't branches and the system of checks & balances.

I have never seen the mini-series ROOTS, but I think will check it out since I just discovered that it's streaming on Tubi.

I had no idea that so many faces of many classic TV appeared in ROOTS.

I knew this guy was a piece of s***, but Wow!

His advice to "friends" worried about losing programs important to them is "Call someone who cares."

Excited to see that one of my top five movies of all-time -- THE MAJOR AND THE MINOR -- is part of The Criterion Channel's Love In Disguise collection.
It's my favorite Bily Wilder movie and features my favorite performance by Ginger Rogers.

My library never had free ice cream & pizza . . . BUT, yes, I am eternally grateful to my parents for turning me lose in the library at a young age. In addition to books, I would check out loads of CDs & was introduced to a wide variety of music & artists as a kid.
