TIL it's possible to accidently deploy an LLM with a sleeper cell that's impossible to ever detect (there's no code, it's training so it's just variations of the weights) that could behave undesirably once triggered.

So I watched most of NWS thing with Ryan Hall (the star) and everyone else about how to improve weather warnings and info and nobody brought up the obvious- Allow NWS to build an app. So simple

2025 will be the worst hurricane season ever for the US. Not because of the number or strength of the storms necessarily but the planning, warning, response and recovery. I urge all to assume you are on your own.

This morning my father passed away peacefully in my arms. Mom and Dad will be greatly missed by those fortunate to have met them. Rest is peace.

My wife and I & the dog sacrificed a ton to move in with my dad to take care of him thru his little time left. Mom passed away 6 months ago. He's familiar with stuff here so it was better than a crummy nursing home or our place. Compromise, empathy and respect pay future dividends.
