I've been down that rabbit hole too. I've also seen that they dubbed in "de Gaulle" over "Weygand" because he was better known in the US. Either makes enough sense to be going on with.

My recurring risotto experience is spending the last 15-20 minutes thinking "OK, that's got to be enough liquid" and no it isn't keep stirring young man. (I'm 68, but even so. The risotto always wins.)
