I enjoy an ecosystem that is not funded by a megacorp. How does Elixir continue to exist?

I don't understand why people are still using X. If you are worried about losing an established network audience, some real numbers: I had 30K+ followers there and I have 13K here--the engagement is the same, if not better, here. Re-build. You don't *need* anything Muskrat's empire offers.

Holy smokes this is awesome, a new debugger for Phoenix LiveView. Think React devtools, but not a chrome extension.

Touch screens are boring, I miss giant buttons and dials. I want to pull a big lever to make a thing happen, I yearn to twist knobs and flip switches as steam billows from exposed brass piping.

I’ve got some availability for new projects and wanted to put the word out. If you or someone you know is looking for help with #Rails (my specialty for 20 years!) or #ElixirLang Phoenix (big LiveView fan), let’s chat!
Interested in everything from full-stack projects, perf op or team aug. Cheers!

Did you know that you can simply bridge your Bluesky account to the fediverse (Mastodon + beyond) by following @ap.brid.gy? It's a great way to ensure what you share here is widely available. Give it a try, it just takes one click!

@alfiepottsharmer.bsky.social Heya Alfie! Small request ~ can you follow this account bsky.app/profile/ap.b... ?

Following it will "bridge" your account to the "fediverse" (a collection of "niche" social media platforms) so others can enjoy your content from there!

Hey @peterullrich.com ! Small request, but would you consider "bridging" your account to the fediverse via "Bridgy" so fans over there can still follow you? All you gotta do is follow an account here on Bluesky.

Pro tip: you can find a bridged fediverse user by searching for their address (eg @gargron@mastodon.social) or profile URL (eg https://mastodon.social/@Gargron) here in Bluesky and then clicking the People tab. No need to figure out their translated Bluesky handle. Try it!

Hey @wesbos.com ! Would you be willing to "bridge" your bsky account to the fediverse via bridgy? Essentially nothing needed other than to follow an account and others can still follow you from the fediverse. Would be so awesome.

I find it a bit odd when people seem to expect Mastodon to have engagement on par to Bluesky/Twitter, when Mastodon's whole spiel is not to have an algorithm, like it's okay to miss posts.

I have about 300 followers on Mastodon and get virtually no engagement. I had about 10x that followers on Twitter, but would get 50-100x engagement for the same content. Here, when I had 300 followers (umm, last weekend) I'd already get more engagement than on Twitter.

New video alert! I made a video on using Bun with Phoenix. I'm extolling the virtues of Bun a lot, and I think there's just a lot of benefits to using it for everything.

This is probably going to have at least one follow up at some point with some more asset handling tips...
