Business Valuator and Forensic Accountant who is here to discuss none of that. It's all Leafs, hockey, and other sports.
Makes no sense to punt on the season this early, when they're this close, despite some of the worst injury luck in the league.

They can easily wait until game 50 to make a call like that.

Can't believe some of "the sky is falling" takes around here.

He's going to be fine. He was already coming around before he got hurt. Biggest issues were our breakouts and goaltending, both of which have looked miles better for three straight games.

What if Tavares has been your second best player (Nylander the clear #1) and the best player in franchise history and your #1A goalie will be back healthy soon?

Need some time. Worst case scenario is a re-tool. But look at Boston.

But I think the current roster is capable of turning this around with some tweaks.

If they were winning the Atlantic but had signed Marner for 8 years, I'd be miserable. Had lost any faith that they could put a recipe that worked together with those constraints.

The fact is, if it truly isn't going to work with this group, we'll find out.

But it's still very early.

I'm not that down on them yet. Season is far from over.

Don't forget, the Panthers were one game from blowing it up multiple times, right before B2B cup wins.

They should have missed the playoffs the first year they beat us, and could easily have lost to Boston in 5. And then what?

Long season.

My view is Berube is the main problem. They're scoring too much. They don't lack talent.

They just don't have a cohesive system, and whatever he's forcing is not working.

If he doesn't adjust, and he hasn't, he's gotta go.

We had an instant improvement going from Babs to Keefe for the same reason

Would 100% be down for this.
November 14, 2025 at 3:55 AM
There are some wild overreactions happening right now.

Way, way too early. I think the team is good. They have lots of talent.

It looks like the year Babcock was fired. The team immediately got better when he was canned. For me, Berube has 4 games max to save his job, or they must pivot.

You're in for a treat.
November 12, 2025 at 12:10 AM
Bad bounces and poor goaltending.

The team is rounding into form.

Gotta bounceback against the Canes
November 9, 2025 at 3:08 AM
If Tanev healthy, they're 6, 7, and 8.
November 9, 2025 at 2:10 AM
Given how bad our 6, 7, and 8 dmen have looked, I agree with you.

That bottom pair has been our biggest problem.
November 9, 2025 at 1:45 AM
Also have won 5 of 6, James. 😉

And agreed, their most complete game of the season. Seattle played quite well, but was still chasing it all night.

Makes a hell of a lot more sense to keep them around as well. Can't fluke all of those clutch plays

Condolences, my man. Lost my dad earlier this year as well. Best wishes!

It's been interesting watching people demonize regulated currency, while simultaneously seeing soooo many people get easily scammed out of large sums because these deregulated things (I don't think it should count as currency) exist.

Between crypto and gambling, I think a lot of damage will be done
November 1, 2025 at 3:39 PM
The thing I'm most grateful for is that the Leafs are not playing in it.

Our Jays CAN DO IT!!
November 1, 2025 at 3:35 PM
They play very slow. Thought it was early season rust, but it's lasting longer than I expected.

A really weird coaching decision with a rested bullpen. It has completely backfired.

I applaud it, and would like this to be a regular decision making process by the Dodgers. So brave, y'know.
October 25, 2025 at 2:41 AM
Amen. Some insane narratives coming out way too early.

It generally is the same people who refuse to accept that Treliving engineered the best season in decades, almost immediately upon taking the reigns.

Will give them 15 games and re-assess. Even then, it'll be early.
October 23, 2025 at 2:11 PM
Which underlyings are you relying on?

xGF%, Corsi, etc.?

Any others?

Honestly asking, as I think there's a bit too much emphasis placed on specific stats, while others are ignored.
October 22, 2025 at 11:29 PM
They won the Atlantic and took the best team in the league to 7.

Literally the best season of this era by far.

What is the issue with "the data"? Lol
