First, the activist ‘overreach’ mostly consisted of low-stakes, cherry-picked anecdotes. The police were not defunded. Words were not banned. White men were not barred from college.

These are the “hobbit” cats- the shorthair tabby is Pippin, the longhair tabby is Samwise, but then the orange cat really didn’t have a Merry or Frodo vibe so he’s Percy and I’m deeply sorry about the lack of continuity.

Saw this goose with a flock of Canadian geese over the weekend in Denver. I have constructed a whole narrative around this goose now. Could write a whole novel about them.

Three books I read last week- all five stars from me I think. Greta and Valdin had a great voice and characters, The Backyard Bird Chronicles was excellent and beautifully written, and Idlewild was intense and heartbreaking, while also being funny and nostalgic.
