A pale green lichen shaped a bit like a bunch of tiny reindeer antlers. It’s on a branch of a tree covered with other little gray, blue and green lichens, and a little bit of moss. iNaturalist suggested that I may be called Sinewed bushy lichen A smooth pale blue lichen that has tiny black hair-like dangly bits on the edges. It’s growing on a tree branch. iNaturalist suggested that I may be called powdered ruffle lichen. A bright orange lichen growing amongst the apothecium (small cup-like structures) of a gray lichen. iNaturalist suggests that it may be a sunburst lichen.

Snail dinner time 🐌
An adult garden snail and several baby garden snails crawling on some food (vegetables and cuttlebone) in their terrarium. The adult is about the size of a ping pong ball, and the babies are a bit smaller than a pea.

My old fav kids book where a hippo and a snake each have a lemonade stand, but they undercut each other so badly that they have to sell for nothing so they decide to just share with each other instead. I 100% didn’t care for that shit tho, I just loved the scary swamp monster chapter.

anyway I recently found this coral fossil that has gone through ~350 million orbits around the sun only to wind up sitting here watching me eat nighttime macaroni
