Two of the photos that I did take in Elgol. Had only 2 full days on Skye (stayed the night in the Flodigarry hikers hostel up on the Trotternish Peninsula below The Quiraing) but experienced a week’s worth of varied weather. Eager to go back for a slower paced photo expedition someday.

On November 19, 1863, at the dedication of the national cemetery in Gettysburg, President Abraham Lincoln articulated what Union soldiers fought and died for at the July 1863 battle. The Gettysburg Address redefined the experiment in democracy to which the people of the United States aspired.

From this angle on Peel Street one can see that the tower atop the Burgh Hall is leaning. Perhaps by evening it had grown tired and sagged a bit.

The facade of the building viewed from the other end across the Great Western Road. Roots, Fruits, and Flowers shops occupy most of the ground floor retail spaces. Their coffee shop at the Otago Street end is a wonderful place for breakfast.

Great work framing the castle with the tree branch. BOTH times that I photographed Eileen Donan in 2023 the tide was out as well. I took several similar shots from in front of the car park then some from the other side of the causeway. Waited for the saltire to be prominently visible.
