Positive news to see Polisario updating its 2007 peace proposal -- long overdue and something we

have been advocating for the past 4 years.
On why this is needed, and how it can advance a Trump deal, here is my most recent piece: cidob.org/en/publicati...

Profundo’s investigation also identifies the asset managers who have purchased Israeli government bonds since October 7th, 2023. These asset managers purchase bonds for their own funds as well as for their clients, which include pension funds and insurance companies...

Despite its right-wing government, the Netherlands also contributes a strong report, emphasising its policy of 'dissuading' Dutch companies from activities that benefit Israeli settlements & clarifying the inapplicability of all bilateral agreements with Israel to the OPT.

Following the UNGA's resolution Mexico has though instructed line ministries to exclude Israeli settlement related entities and activities from its domestic dealings.

Another strong statement by Ireland, including possible national level move to ban trade with Israeli settlements in the OPT based on the ICJ's AO. But this would seem to exclude similar action against settlements in the Syrian Golan which Israel illegally annexed in 1982.

Austria says its agreements with Israel "apply only to Israel within its internationally recognized borders" [not its settlements]
This is good to know as Austria's 2000 social security & 2016 double taxation agreements lack clear territorial clauses and may have been deficiently applied until now.

UN Members reported their publication of guidance for companies and citizens on the legal, financial and reputational risks associated with engaging in business dealings with Israeli settlements.

As the UNSG's report outlines, this #differentiation policy involves labelling settlement products & territorial clauses excluding settlements from trade & investment agreements.
@ecfrmena.bsky.social has been tracking which European states have (not) done this here:

A number of UN Members underscored their #Differentiation policies -- excluding Israeli settlements from bilateral dealings with Israel as per UNSC resolution 2334 (December 2013).
For background on this, here is @ecfr.eu's report advocating this policy in 2015: ecfr.eu/publication/...
