When my husband and I went to bed last night, this suprise was waiting for us from our 13 ur old daughter. Teenagers can be wonderfully loving and kind! (Jasper is our dog)

Christmas Eve in the Wood house: a visit to Porthtowan beach with the dog & to see the Christmas tractors; tracking Santa via Norad, It's a Wonderful life in the afternoon followed by a Chinese & then prepare the turkey to cook overnight & wake up to the house smelling lush!

If trophies are the only thing that matter in football than why do people bother to support Norwich, or Brentford, or Peterborough? Surely football is completely pointless and meaningless to them? It’s not, because trophies aren’t the only things that matter in football.

Spent yesterday on twitter, decided to spend this morning here. Whilst there is frustration on both, there's a lot less personal abuse aimed at Ange and the players,and a lot less swearing here, for which I am thankful.

Spurs seem to hsve a complacency against teams they think they should be beating. It's like relax guys, take it easy, we're good, this game is in the bag. There was only 1 team that showed desire last night and that was the difference in the teams.

I try not to write too much politics anymore it's all just too toxic. But I can't help but chorkle at the people calling for a general election & the petition going round for one, many of whom I have seen for many years harping on about democracy & telling people to suck it up & stop complaining

I was having a day of Christmas markets in London yesterday and avoided the result as I didn't want to put a dampner on the day. Got on the train about 88 mins into the match had a sneaky look, had to make sure I reading it right!

So Bentancur has got a 7 match ban, I have no issue with that, he did something wrong. What frustrates me is other players like Enzo Fernandez can seemingly get away with racist behaviour because of where or the way he did it.

I'm refusing to mention my Bluesky account at home at the moment. My husband joined twitter ages after me, set up a retro footie account and got a few hundred thousand followers, he's only done insta this year and done the same. I'm protecting my bluesky small following from that kind of mockery.

So do we really think there's a bust up? I'd have thought Bentancur would be keeping a low profile considering he's about to shaft the team with a ban for being racist. Vicario is scared of corners, would he be busting up with anyone? Romero is a bit of a loose canon & I don't know about Udogie ...
