I'm a photography junkie, and I'm obsessed with moon pictures. It took me so many tries to get it even vaguely clear since the blood moon is so dark. So I'm glad you like it!
The full moon is tough because it has so few shadows. I usually prefer more shadows for detailing. Like this one from Sunday

That's got to be the shading, but damn does it work!
It makes me think of Richard Corben's artwork (a favorite!) and that similar clay-like texture to it. I'm intensely jealous of those who have the ability to add such depth to their work, but I do adore it when I see it!
