People have been living and ageing with HIV for decades. There is a strong, global HIV community which, at this perilous time, must:

1. Together, make sure there is a future for all people living with HIV
2. Reconnect as a global community
3. Make allies across countries, sectors and organisations

Great roundtable with EACS at the European Parliament.

Europe needs a more unified HIV response, with quality of life, ageing with dignity, mental health and freedom from stigma at its heart.

We've submitted evidence to @ec.europa.eu's LGBTIQ equality strategy 🏳️‍🌈 shorturl.at/c242S

LGBTIQ+ communities are key pillars in the HIV response. We need the Strategy to:
🚫 Address stigma + discrimination
🩺 Promote #HRQoL
🧑‍🧒 Support long-term care
📉 Collect more data
🤝 Involve + sustain communities

📢 📢 Looking ahead, the second half of 2025 will be busy. The global HIV response demands unity, persistence, and strong advocacy from the community.

With #EACS25 and #WorldAIDSDay approaching, we will be fully engaged — driving change and working towards a HRQoL for all people living with HIV.

🔍 Why PROMs matter

PROMs improve communication between clinicians and people living with HIV—helping recognise symptoms, understand patient priorities, and enhance care

They generate valuable data on challenges people face—informing clinical practices, policies, and more responsive health systems.

An excellent Informal HIV Working Group meeting in @europarl.europa.eu.

Stigma & discrimination are hindering the global HIV response, esp. in healthcare, where people living with HIV continue to face prejudice.

We support @marcangel-mep.bsky.social call for more training and awareness campaigns.

HIV Outcomes had a great focus group discussion with @unaids.org on the 2026-2031 Global AIDS Strategy.

39 million people are living and ageing with HIV.

This presents complex 𝗰𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹, 𝗽𝘀𝘆𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 and 𝘀𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗲𝘀 to health and well-being, which health systems must address.
