made some games (ROAD TRIP, Booster Blade) • ominous flavor text enjoyer • programs in Unity (reluctantly) • https://hit2key.itch.io/
I've been enjoying it the whole way through obviously but this second half really feels like the missing piece of the puzzle. I'm very invested!

you could say they’re waiting for someone to post about Godot

feels like this second playthrough was soured a bit by watching other people's playthroughs a million times (so many cases of "wait that can happen???" which is awesome but I should have had more restraint)

it's really exciting to be in the dark about what's up ahead again! very scared for later.

exploring the apartment to finish off some achievements efficiently and meet ending requirements while side-eyeing and avoiding these strange doors that didn't seem to be there earlier... "uhhhh.... that's for future me to deal with"

i'd say the friction comes more from resource management and simply keeping track of everything you need to explore. and even then there's less pressure and more freedom than you'd think

definitely requires patience to really get a feel for the rhythm but man it's so good. i highly recommend it

look outside can be stressful but I can vouch for the combat not being too bad (and I've heard it's way way easier than F&H). there are a lot of variables in play but it really just boils down to "do I think I can deal with this enemy right now" more than really strategizing or making focused builds

I'm kind of in an awkward spot myself because I'm in the middle of my 2nd playthrough, and I had other stuff in mind for Halloween... I'll probably try to wrap this session up and wait for a good time to check out the new stuff.

everyone else, though? you should play Look Outside immediately.

its kind of crazy that you can beat the game with only 2/3rds of the final moveset (and with any combination of items). I’d recommend giving a “two items” run a shot if you haven’t already, really helped me appreciate how clever the design is here

it’s also an awkward situation because SoJ is in some ways more about Apollo Justice than the game Apollo Justice was? I kind of respect them trying to do more and changing the status quo but it’s just such a weird swerve
