...find out that when it comes to really important things the two of you are diametrically opposed. Why not discuss kids, politics, religion, etc within the first few dates, and if you're quite far apart, you can each go your separate ways with no harm and no foul? 2/

I think I understand the argument behind not discussing heavy topics early in a relationship, but it seems (to me at least) to be more sensible to have those conversations early, before you spend months of investment in a relationship that falls apart once you...1/

I type all my documents in either 18 or 20 point font now, and when I'm looking at a document in smaller font I have to zoom in.

This is not a "students today" post--it's more "this is a new form of dysfunction" that doesn't look exactly like it's been in previous decades. It's more than just "first-year chaos." It's an across-the-board inability to process instructions, engage with longer texts, and *connect* with others.
