I cannot listen to people who know nothing about teaching go on about how awful schools are and how it’s just not fun for kids. The real problem in schools is that we’ve created a generation of people who cannot be bored. Not every subject or every lesson is going to suit every child within a class

What they really mean is they miss a time they could put up No Blacks, No Irish, No dogs signs without getting any stick for it!
No. No. It's absurd enough to think this for Americans, but fucking Brits!? Do you not know your own history!? Part of the country was in a civil war!

Ok I need advice. Finished my masters this year and I know I want to write and share history but I’m not sure if I need to do a phd to gain some more confidence to do this. I get massive imposter syndrome and think a PhD might help me feel more of an expert. Or should I just start writing?? Heeellpp

Booked to go to my first online conference.Imposter syndrome is strong but trying things out of my comfort zone.Its hard when you’re trying to start a history career outside of the academic world.Should I be going to a conference or is it just for proper historians? #skystorians #impostersyndrome

Just reading about masculinity in Victorian times when I’m presented with how men felt they needed to escape from the boredom of family life so they retreated to a smoking room, a billiard room or even a den. Sounds a lot like a man cave to me. Never realised I hated them before now but here we are
