Carpenter, writer, married, building a cabin on an island, which I will never finish because I've been working on it so long that I don't know what else to do with myself, so I make up new projects instead of relaxing, and since I'm old, they take forever.

We spent a long weekend on Madeline Island enjoying fall and Lake Superior and not thinking about politics.

All observed today within 10 minutes on an 8-foot square clump of false aster near St. Paul, MN. Also saw bumblebees, honeybees, sweat bees, and at least several other varieties of pollinators - but my iPhone 11 wasn't quick enough to get good shots.

Bookshelf I made recently. Olive wood, hard maple, purpleheart sides, baltic birch shelves, ash, green fluorescent plexiglass, plexiglass samples, driftwood, beach rocks, fused glass, metal, wood dowels. #BlueskyArtShow

Partial view of our no-mow lawn this morning. At least several dozen bumblebees, honeybees, and miscellaneous others were working their way through the creeping thyme, clover, self heal, trefoil, wild strawberry, and low-growing fescue.

It's not true that Donald Trump only cares about rich people! Presenting the new Trump International Hotel, an Eco-resort in the middle of the fabulous Florida Everglades, developed exclusively for the tired, the poor, the huddled masses yearning to breathe free!

Trees, sky, clouds, Lake Superior. Just inserting a little break from politics.

Made a coat rack for my daughter and her husband, mostly from scrap pieces of wood, metal, and plexiglass, some of which I've had for 30 years - my feeling being that if it looks interesting, save it and find more storage space. About 5’ long, 9” high. Clear finish.

Two great dogs, exploring the Lake Michigan shoreline and enjoying their lives on a nice summer day. We had both of them for their whole lives. Both died several years ago.

This was the headline on the front page of the NYTimes this morning as the market crashed. Not Donald the criminally incompetent, or Donald the Russian asset, or Donald the convicted felon and rapist - no, to the NYT, he's just lovable old Donald the risk taker.

Morning at the off-leash dog park. The happy place for both of us, where everyone we meet, both dog and human, is in a good mood.

She's blonde - give her a chance. Imagine an all-star extravaganza with Kanye West, Ted Nugent, Kid Rock, and the Blondes of Fox News all singing "God Bless America!" It would be the most amazing entertainment the world has ever seen!

Hi from another ex-New Yorker, now in Minnesota. Looking for more effective and fast-acting ways to dump trump. Thanks.

Big money pollution is increasing in professional sports. Kind of makes me want to puke.

Like many people, I'm obsessing about fascist takeovers and slowly losing my mind. So here's something completely different - a bathroom remodel I did several years ago (tiling, vanity, etc.) using scraps and discontinued materials from the home center.
