So, replaying the Final Fantasy IV 3D remake sorta reawakened a hyperfixation I have over the Baron Trio, and I have been Obsessed for a bit now.

To be fair, Cecil's SNES overworld sprite does show his face, while his battle sprite shows the bottom half of his face. If anything, the DS version merely meets the two depictions in the middle by deciding that it's a visor that Cecil can open and close to reveal as much or as little of his face.
