This is disgraceful and un-American. The Trump administration defended its removal of articles highlighting the achievements of minority service members, including Navajo code talkers, Marines at Iwo Jima, and famed Black baseball player Jackie Robinson.

Jackie Robinson was the first Black man to break baseball's color barrier. My mother would go watch him play for the Dodgers at Ebbets Field in Brooklyn. She later told me about the racist abuse his faced and taught me the importance of his courage. Her photos here from 1948.
