The shelvers I know would probably say that having a consistently formatted label in a consistent location makes sorting and shelving more efficient and accurate.

Fry some bacon in a pan, then remove. Leave the fat. Thinly slice the sprouts and cook in the bacon fat until slightly tender. Add generous dashes of red wine vinegar and some fresh ground pepper. Crumble the bacon and put it back in and warm through. I like to eat this with mashed potatoes.
