Yeah, if she broke that precedent, it would have been pretty impactful.

I would have personally been truly moved by someone who was clearly in a difficult predicament, making the correct choice.

I find it just as reasonable to point out that she made the wrong one.

They are very clearly correct.

All politicians deserve criticism. Grow up.

No, this is a lie.

Those few were just chosen because it's politically convenient for them to take the backlash instead of others.

The entire caucus was in agreement about this with @schumer.senate.gov at its head.

He needs to resign and be primaried.

They all need to be primaried.

A model of politics which is designed to ignore the fact that political repression exists is stupid.

Yeah, they didn't actually care. They just wanted to yell at someone.

If those voters are being given political representation which accurately reflects their views.

I know this is hard, but imagine a country which politically repressed its voters.

I'm trying to think of a good example.

Oh, what about the United States?

What makes it work is sincerity. Or the ability to understand what sincerity would look like.

Well, the bots are to convince enough *actual people* to join in the misinformation.

As far as elected Dems go on the federal level, this is extremely accurate.

Now I'm speaking basic Japanese and reading kana. Any time I see something I can't read, it's like a trigger.

I tap it into my little dictionary and add it to the repertoire. I'll get there eventually.

My favorite thing to learn is alphabets.

I learned as a kid to read Cyrillic and from then on I could walk around transliterating anything in a dozen languages.

Didn't know the meaning, but I could pronounce it!

Over time I gradually learned words because *how could I not*?

By criminalizing the same sort of immigration as we used to proclaim built this nation, we create a disenfranchised caste of worker, easily exploited and easily disposed of if they cause any trouble.

And the dehumanizing rhetoric sells the idea that this is justified.

No, those 8 were chosen because they're not seeking reelection.

The Dem caucus as a whole chose to end the shutdown in this way and they picked out people who could contain your anger.

Here's where you should focus your anger:
