I think it should have some kind of heel turn about where the ribbing starts, or else the distance between the toe and that weird thing on the bottom should be greater. In order to, you know, make a sock that fits a human foot.

I suspect it's some kind of weird-construction sock. There's quite a few patterns out there for making socks in novel ways.

OK, yeah, that makes sense. I took it as a hypothetical; there are definitely exes that I don't want to see anymore, but in general, if it's safe and possible, I'd prefer to be friendly 🤷♂️
