The housing crisis is not about immigrants.

It's also not about private equity gobbling up neighborhoods.

The housing crisis is about the refusal to build enough housing, which is largely a problem of regulatory capture by entrenched NIMBY homeowners, some of whom have "everyone is welcome" signs.
The housing crisis isn’t about immigrants — it’s about private equity gobbling up entire neighborhoods and pricing families out. Blaming immigrants is cowardly lie.

The real villains are the billionaires turning homes into profit machines.

Upgrading my OctoPrint setup to OctoPi 1.1.0 (with Debian Bookworm) is going well. Now to eat my own dogfood and install OctoDash from scratch!

Why do web developers disable pasting into password fields? From my perspective it just makes using password managers harder and makes me less likely to use a good password

Berger's three laws of chatbotics:

1) The bot should never express emotions.

2) The bot should never praise the user.

3) The bot should never say it understands the user's mental state.

There's no use case for these things, and they're obviously problematic.

I dusted off my copy of Betrayal Legacy that hasn't seen action since finishing the campaign 5+ years ago. Played a session with most of the original party and it was quite the treat revisiting some of our old decisions (mostly involving snarky flavor rather than game mechanics) #boardgames

@smbrnsn.bsky.social so I was looking over my LDS church tax donation report and found "The Church provided no goods or services in consideration, in whole or in part, for the contributions detailed below but only intangible religious benefits."

Is there a legal purpose for that last clause?
