I am retired and enjoying it. Major hobbies include 35mm film photography, music (eclectic), guitar playing (poorly), reading, and cooking. I'm interested in connecting with old and new friends who share these interests among others. Connect with me!
Go Cubs (and nice pic, too)!

I like him, too. Nice to have someone with cajones standing up.

Thanks, man. It's been tough and I expect worse. But I'm hopeful.

I see! I, also, am retired. I live in Austin, Texas, USA. A blue island In a sea of red!

Somewhat interesting addendum to typewriter story and I'll leave you alone. I lived in Englad at that time, in Essex. My dad was USAF. Enjoy your cool old machines.

Awesome. I really enjoy seeing the much older machines. I'm not a typewriter junkie, I just like them. I learned on an old Royal or Underwood when I was probably 8 or so (my mom taught me when I was home from school sick!). Cool memories have been evoked.

The Royal Delux is very much like the typewriter I learned on in the mid-60's!

It would be neat to see a series of the pictures. Do you have them published somewhere? It would be super cool to see the deterioration over time.

Fantastic! I love that altogether. Thanks for sharing.

Outstanding. I like your non-technical approach. If it pleases me, it's good! Keep on clicking!

I studied this one for a while. I bet it was a challenge to get the composition the way you like it. What appeals to you about this image? I'm interested in your thoughts on why it works.

Wonderful! I love the texture and shapes. The contrasting colors of the mud are also very nice. Good capture!

Gorgeous.

Thank you. I am not familiar with this setup, so I'll have to research it! Rock on.

May I ask what you shot this with gear-wise?

Fantastic! I love the composition and exposure. Wonderful contrast and texture. Love it.

First of all, lots of nice images in your feed. I love you are using Ilford HP5, I use it all the time. As far as portraits, I'm like you; I don't care for straight up portraiture for myself. I do like the candid-style portrait like the one in this post. Rock on!

Yes, film takes a bit more as you know. I'm not a luddite, just haven't gotten around to getting a decent digital camera. Photoshop and especially Lightroom have saved multiple old negatives that were damaged, so I'm enamored.
