While I love Stephen Colbert, I think his cancellation really is due to ratings, and that he’s going to be a-ok. The people we should be really rooting for at this time are all the government workers doing really important shit that have actually lost their jobs due to this trash administration.

I want the crew from #dropouttv to become crazy famous and out-of-touch rich (the strength of their performances and humor deserve it!), but I am also enjoying these early days where they are struggling artists and just like the rest of us.

If the state of the world doesn’t have you feeling wildly nihilistic enough already, might I recommend reading “Nuclear War: A Scenario” by Annie Jacobsen and then watching Oscar-nominated documentary, “Soundtrack to a Coup d'état”?

I just watched the Bryan Johnson documentary and I don’t hate the guy. It’s refreshing to see someone so honest about the insane lengths someone has to go to not to age, and how it often sucks joy out of your life. I find it a nice contrast to the influencers shilling anti-wrinkle straws on TikTok.

Mikey Day is THE best actor on SNL. He takes every character so seriously and does a damn fine job portraying them, and it makes all his sketches that much funnier.
