The true innovation is the end condition. Hot Streak is a fiercely competitive games, yet has no winners or losers. You read that right. Everybody wins in different ways by getting read a little life story (hilarious ones, by the way). Years ago, Reinhold and I ... (8/10)

... Streak was a boring game. But that's far from the truth. Just watching the figurines in their silly race, with plenty of micro-accidents, elicits cheers, moans and laughter. Once the race is in progress, there is no more player influence, so all that's left is rooting for your darlings ...(7/10)

At the same time, it is actually very functional. Rules are easy to read, betting tiles come in different sizes so that preparations are made easy. Even pulling out the track gives me a strange satisfaction that foldable boards rarely do.
None of this would matter if Hot ... (6/10)

What makes it so special?
Well, it's obviously an eye catcher. The silly figurines, the large racetrack extending out of the box, ... (3/10)

I do not consider them playful, and I often get bored by them quickly. I acknowledge there is a large target group for this kind of occupation, but I avoid those games unless I am in very good company.
Now I was fortunate enough to have a copy of Jon Perry's Hot Streak brought to Essen ... (2/10)

Ich finde das Problem ja eher die Apothekenpflicht. Wenn die Kassen es nicht zahlen, kaufen die Leute das wahrscheinlich trotzdem, sie werden nur ärmer.

"Ihrzen" is not limited to Cologne, it happens elsewhere, too. And traditionally, the Sie would be more persistent in the North than in the South.

If you want to attract kids, mark your door in some way. We only had three or four groups this year, which is lower than usual.
