Today, the Board of Supervisors approved my motion to expand health and social services for immigrant families, which includes increasing access to telehealth services, food deliveries, and more.

We cannot let fear prevent people from getting the health care or support they need.

Today, the Board of Supervisors unanimously approved my motion with Supervisor Horvath directing LA County to explore potential legal action against unconstitutional immigration enforcement practices, including illegal search and seizure in violation of the Fourth Amendment of the U.S. Constitution.

This morning, my office received reports of immigration enforcement activity in Boyle Heights involving a deeply disturbing incident: two unmarked vehicles, believed to be operated by ICE agents, crashed into a civilian car with two children inside.

Over the past 24 hours, numerous reports have emerged of ICE activity across Los Angeles County. In response, many in our community, including advocacy groups and concerned residents, have exercised their First Amendment rights to protest peacefully and speak out against these actions.
