😢 SJM had a new publisher, so a bunch of small creators who had licensed art is losing their licenses. Now I have to drop a few several hundred $$ to get all the stuff I wanted.

Ended up canceling my full box of Big Into Energy Labubu’s. I’ve been getting pretty lucky with blind box buys lately and I’d rather have 1-2 of each version. I could have sold the extras but meh.

Ended up just ordering 2 different styles/sizes of brace. I’m going to be in it for another 3 weeks at least. Hopefully I can get reimbursed by my insurance.
Once again the brace they gave me at the hospital is too fucking big for me. I’m a small person, why would they put a neck brace that is for normal people on me and then not even fit it correctly. So now I’m in pain AND I can’t eat.

Well I was right, before surgery I was wondering when my family would discount everything I’m going through to help them with their shit and it was less than a day.
I know my Dad is in the hospital & it’s hard for him & trying to navigate the US healthcare system is difficult & frustrating.

Surgery was a success. My imaging is always well less severe than it ends up being IRL so they ended up having to replace 2 levels. C5-C7. Pain is ok. Staying tonight & hopefully getting discharged tomorrow but they gotta get the tube out of my neck first. 😅

My husband has been taking such great care of me lately. With everything going on between my Dad and my surgery.
He’s been checking every store looking for the Final Fantasy MTG booster packs. While he was working I went to 7 stores finally found some got him a whole box, only a lil over MSRP!

Retrospect I’m really glad my partner got me into buying/wearing RSVLTs button ups because I don’t think pulling a shirt over my head for the next bit is going to be a good idea haha

After a few hours at the ER they gave me the all clear for surgery and a prescription for more zofran — adding it to my secret stash. I’m very glad I don’t have to postpone anything.

Because my luck is pristine! I’m going to the ER. I’ve been having a hard time keeping anything down the last few days. Now that I’m less than 72 hours from my surgery I’m going to get checked out to see if it’ll need to be postponed.

I really love my Dad, but sometimes it’s REALLY hard.
NPD gets thrown around a LOT these days. Reading Reddit so many people self diagnose their ex’s as narcissists because they were a lying asshole. Sorry but they were just an asshole.

Because life loves to throw every curve ball. My Dad has been pretty sick for the last 2 months or so, in & out of the hospital. Yesterday it got so bad my sister made my nephew drive 8 hours to pick him up to take over his care at her hospital.

I’d consider my partner to be a guys guys — joined a wrestling school, 1st degree black belt in BJJ, tattooed, etc.
But, in the last year I’ve shown him the light! He now has his own Stanley, multiple pairs of Crocs, a PopSocket wallet & wants to replace all his workout clothes with Lululemon…

My job can be a pain in the ass, but this is why I plan to be here forever. I thought my knee was expensive when I broke it because it was 45k.
*also this is fucking ridiculous there’s no reason health care should be this expensive. I am incredibly fortunate & recognize it every day.
