My brother had had to hand raise one of his Arapawa lambs this year.

Done. But 18km mark calves had a "You need to stop, you didn't train us for this" that became a 7km mental game of pushing past the pain.

So I'm running the Rocky Point trail race tomorrow. I'm undertrained, barely over the last bout of virus and assuming I'll come last if I finish at all.
With fear of death mid-race on my mind, this is the race number they handed me 😭😭😭
