If Canada and Mexico offered up some kind of residency/pathway to citizenship for fired federal workers or other folks looking to leave America they could tailor those requirements however best suited their needs and it would be a huge windfall.

Finally deleted the other app. Still debating this.
Debating whether to keep this superfluous social outlet as professional extension like the rest or let this one be my unhinged burner account

I’m a journalist and I’m changing the way I read news. This is how.
Sometimes it's healthy to do something you love less, and differently.

“I thought the first trump presidency would spark more political punk. Where’s all the political punk music?”

It’s nauseating seeing this take cause political punk has always been prevalent. It’s mainly the queer bands of color making it and they get ignored. SO I made a playlist!!!

Published this story on the challenges of indie touring before getting on bluesky

LOUDER
Man, treating media as a for-profit endeavor rather than a public good is fucking devastating us.
Executives at Vice received massive bonuses weeks before the company went bankrupt — and just one day after it announced "painful" layoffs

Haha ha we live in hell
Something very strange is happening to the Web. Finding something from the past on search engines is eroding. Atemporality replaced by an immediate, constantly vanishing, consumerist hyper-present. What we thought was an infinite Borges-ian library turning into Amazon checkout with a ticking clock…
Google is changing up search. What does that mean for news publishers?
A shift to AI-generated search results will decrease the traffic that Google sends to publishers' sites, as more people get what they need straight from the Google search page instead.
