Instead of reading the news this morning, I wrote a poem about not reading the news. And I keep growing things, despite everything.

Just finished the first session of Songs of the Grass: Exploring Jewish Ecopoetry as the snow creates a blank canvas on the earth. We are creating a space to use words to repair & heal our broken world. As I wrote in my poem “How to Pray While the World Burns”: “The earth hears your prayer.”

I am finally writing and submitting poems again. Planning my spring veggie garden. Focusing on the good people doing good in the world. Finding the spaces available where I can plant my seeds. (Photos from the summer garden)
