Measuring productivity via word count really is a waste of time. The other day, I triumphantly wrote 1000 words in a single sitting. The day after that, I cut 900 of those words because they were taking the story in the wrong direction and bogging down.
Cutting was the more productive activity.

“Separate the artist from the art” yeah folks I can do that for Dickens or Hemingway or other assholes who are PROFOUNDLY DEAD but I prefer not to line the pockets of living assholes. Saying any version of that is saying “I don’t want to complicate my fun.” It’s moral mediocrity.

I'm very happy to be able to communicate with people from various countries through drawing.
One of the best things about continuing to draw is that I realized that even if I can't speak English well, I can still communicate with people all over the world through my illustrations.
