Not so much 'has to' but it's easier to manage, tbh. Like, IAs are adding a bunch of extra data you don't need.

I'd mix and match. Instanced Actors for things you're tracking that have altering states like Trees, Plants, Doors, etc.

Ideally you get the node to be the size of the bounds of the incoming level assembly and then work with it like that until you need to actually load in the assembly itself.
