Still no snow up here in my balmy little corner of Miyagi Prefecture. Normally I would have had to deploy the ol’ snow shovel a few times by now, but not this year. I’m not complaining, but this is not normal.

And now Amazon Prime informs me that commercials will be shown during movies from April, and that it’ll cost an extra 390 yen/month for the commercial-free “option”.

Just got this from Microsoft:
"Effective 14 February 2025, the price for Microsoft 365 Personal subscriptions will increase from JPY 14,900.00 per year to JPY 21,300.00 per year."
That's a big increase. It went up a little last year too, but this is getting ridiculous.

Well that's the front end of the studio back together. Everything seems to be running OK so I can get back to work. Still can't believe that little silver box under the monitor is running the whole show, and running it better and faster than before. Very impressive.

The butterfly seemed to be struggling a bit this morning (Japan time), no doubt trying to keep up with the increased load. That’s OK, there are bound to be a few speed bumps as the community grows. Looking really good so far. 👍

Gotta learn how to post video/audio here. First thing I learn is that videos need to be less than 50 MB. In this short clip I try recording a cheapo Squier Bullet Strat that I did some major upgrades on (and tripled the price 😅). The guitar turned out OK and has become a regular player.
