We have a slight chance (3 on a scale of 0-5) of severe weather for Friday evening as a cold front will push through the area. All modes of severe weather are possible, with the main threats being damaging straight line winds, hail, and a few tornadoes possible.

Hickman County EMA is testing tornado sirens today. There is no severe weather risk today, but there is a slight risk of severe weather for Friday.

Controlled detonations are expected throughout the day today. Black smoke can be expected.

AES - A controlled disposal will occur at 5:00pm today. Black smoke will be visible and there may be a small detonation.

NWSNashville determined an EF0 tornado touched down in the Sunrise Community, including the roads of:
Prince Rd
Falls Branch Rd
Ugly Creek Rd
Blue Buck Creek Rd
She Boss Rd
Old Trace Rd.

Tornado had max winds of 80mph, on the ground for 7 miles, and was 175 yards wide.

NWSNashville surveyed the southern part of the county today to determine if the damage was the result of a tornado that occurred around 8:50pm Wednesday night.

Should have those details later today.

Been getting questions about storms later tonight and overnight into the morning.

The answer is yes, we will likely see another round in the early morning hours before daybreak. Best chance is after 2am and before 6am.

Rotation has fallen apart in recent scans but as long as the tornado warning is active remain sheltered in your safe spot.
