The concept art for the Dragonfly-type shuttles from the cancelled 2000s “Final Frontier” cartoon looked *a bit* X-Wing ish, but honestly looks closer to the Babylon 5 Starfury craft imo. But, it does make me think a Starfleet style X-Wing *could* work, it’d just be a challenge.

Remembered I did a similar idea back when I was running a 'gimmick account' about silly nonexistent Star Trek episodes, albeit as a single Voyager episode with Angela Lansbury guest-starring as a holodeck-recreation of JB Fletcher. Also, this comment from a like-minded Trekkie 🖖💛

Played the demo for the upcoming Star Trek Voyager game, Across the Unknown. Seems very promising. Desperately needs some voice acting imo though. Given how expansive this game is and with branching stories, full-VA is unlikely, but even if its just a few generic sound bytes for each character,

That said, my first choice for 'STO-original Klingon ship that could pass for a 32nd Century era ship' would have been the Qib. Always thought this one looked out of place in the 25th century and honestly would look at home alongside something like the Friendship or Merian.

The new #StarTrekOnline story episode features a scene with numerous disabled allied ships. Apparently, there was quite some thought put into which types of ships should be present, so I went through and made a list of all the ones I found. Cannot guarantee I didn't miss any though.

The Echelon Class was a short-range patrol vessel that bore experimental Traceable Payload weapons that allowed a target to be tracked after fleeing. These made the class invaluable during the Iconian War to track the otherwise unpredictable Herald fleet movements

Funny you should joke about this; a couple days ago, I was reading through an old dream journal I used to keep and found this hilarious "STO killed off Captain Shon" bizarro-dream. 😂 Sadly, I think Disney's copyright lawyers might have something to say if you went this route...

I've literally never seen the Lukari viewscreen effect in action before, as I only got a Lukari ship after they unlocked unique bridges. This is so cool! 🤩

Wasn't in the patch notes, but #StarTrekOnline has also just fixed the unique viewscreen visuals assigned to certain bridges. This hasn't worked since they unlocked bridges from ships. Unsure yet if they're still assigned to bridges or if they're assigned to ships that would have them. Cool fix tho!

IMO, the Hegh'ta in particular is important to remaster. When STO first launched, it was the endgame Bird of Prey; although its now been eclipsed for player-ships, it remains the top-level NPC variant for Birds of Prey, effectively making it "the" 25th century BoP, so deserves to look the part.

That reminds me, was this bit in "The Onslaught" teasing both Hugh and Seven? Even after Hugh was revealed for "Unveiled", I was still trying to rack my brain for what partners would be at a Borg conference. (This confusion was more down to my autism taking the use of "partners" too literally! 😅 )
