So Speaker Johnson gave the congress another week off. Paid of course, while they shut the govt down.
The GOP has made it clear they have no interest in compromise with Dems. So they will have to figure how to reopen their govt that they closed.

I really do think we’re well beyond this point.
If you pretend that your differences with friends and coworkers and family are about “politics” when in fact they’re about right versus wrong and fascism versus the rule of law, you’re doing your country a grave disservice.

I’m watching this “National Update and call to action” and I didn’t see anything that tells me Dems are providing much needed leadership in this time. A lot of talk about elections. I like how we’re assuming we will have free and fair elections in 2026. That’s too late!!!!

I got laid off today, with the rest of 18F.
