For further clarification. Florida has LAWS that state that you must refer to a student by the name indicated in their documentations. You may not use a nickname unless their parents have submitted forms to the school indicating a nickname. In the district I’m in now it is obviously not the case.
Oh my god do I feel so much better reaching out of Florida. Seeing this on the documents of the school district I just joined fills me heart. I’m so happy to be here now and away from Florida. I have horror stories.

Life updates: Got a job in New Haven county so I’ve officially moved to CT from Florida and now waiting for paperwork to go through so I can prove income and rent a place. Taking a mini vacay to NYC today to go to a book club and see some sights 💗

One of my fave graphic novel/series and it heals the me from the past while making me from the present have something to smile about. I’m so glad it exists
I’ve finally finished Heartstopper and I just think it’s such a lovely wholesome show that tackles sensitive subject matter but doesn’t adultify nor infantilise teen stories. It’s actually so refreshing to watch and I’m so glad the young adults of today have a show like this.
