Of all the projects I've helped with, our community's mutual aid hub (free store model) is the thing I'm most proud of. Today, we did a toy distribution and I can confidently say we do it better than large charities and I'm going to tell you why...

My 9 year old has been listening to Raiders of the Lost Ark nonstop for 2 days. Tonight we watched the movie. Now he feels very strongly about hating Nazis and he also wants a whip (no f-ing way lol)

Together with our head of the Food Committee, I helped pick another van load of pumpkins and squash today. Today's load was half of what we picked last week, and this picture shows only half of what we picked today. Mutual aid isn't easy, but it sure beats the alternative.

My 7 year old is an artist. This morning she collected her first fall leaves for the year, leaving them in a pile on the couch when the bus came. I was going to throw them out like I always do, but then a thought hit me. She's going to be so happy when she gets home.
