Then you are the exception to the rule. I have canvassed the past couple of elections- they have no interest in listening to or reading Dem platforms.

No, I’m talking about how they actually work in the real world. Red State republicans voters do not get wooed by Dems, no matter how conservative that Dem is. And independents in those states-they’re just closet republicans.

Oh phew, ya got me. Beto couldn’t beat the incumbent Republican Governor in a red state. 🙄 Kansas would have had the same problem with Brownback if it wasn’t for the fact that our State Constitution says governors can only serve two terms. Texas should probably adopt term limits for their executive.

You live in a blue state? I live in a red state. In a blue state you can have the argument about which Dem candidate is better. In a red state, Republican voters by and large vote for republicans. TX Dems aren’t gonna win R voters with a conservative Dem. That’s not how it works in red states.

No, she’s not owed a Senate run. No one is saying that. But her running for Senate is an option that she has, and voters will decide during the primary if she gets on the general election ballot.

Yall are forgetting that the Texas redistricting map essentially separates her from the district she currently represents. A Senate run might be the only option she now. I have to look at the new map again to be sure.

Artificial trees for life! My mom was in a house fire as a child, so we weren’t allowed to have electric blankets, real Christmas trees, or space heaters and she constantly would check to make sure the stove was off. She still refuses to have electric blankets and real trees.

Fun fact, I’ve been a paralegal for 14 years, and I still haven’t crossed that $27 p/h wage. It’s insane that people don’t realize a boosted minimum wage will also boost the wages of pretty much everyone else. Because there’s no reason things should be this hard with a stable income.
