Watching this character constantly dismissed and ganged up on for being Muslim is one of the reasons this show was a struggle for me.
After Midnight Mass came out, I remember reading comments online from folk saying the Sheriff was playing the victim card, or that Islamophobia isn’t a thing anymore etc…

9/11 happened during the filming of the movie Master of Disguise and Dana Carvey was fully in the Turtle Man outfit/prosthetics during a silent prayer circle held for the victims.

Marjorie Taylor Greene harassed school shooting victims, advanced bigoted conspiracy theories, and has caused irreparable damage to millions of people. I am glad she and Trump are fighting. But she would need to apologize for YEARS to get me to consider forgiving the harm she's caused.
