Eighty years ago today. The first atomic bomb used in anger exploded six hundred metres above Hiroshima, Japan.
As ever on 6th August, I hope that while Hiroshima was the first, Nagasaki will remain the last use of nuclear weapons in war.
I’ll be reading John Hersey’s ‘Hiroshima,’ today.

Finally had the M&S strawberry sando that was all the rage… a while ago. Probably why I could find it in my local Marks.
It was… absolutely fine. Essentially a cake in an odd shape. A solid 8/10, would have again as a treat.

Of course I did.
