(1/4) I watched the Fox Hollow docuseries on Hulu last night with my husband. I was only a kid when those murders happened, but it was so close to home—literally less than 5 miles—that my mother and grandma never told me about it. I learned about it only very recently.

I haven’t posted my art on any socials for years. It makes me anxious and sweaty. But I’m excited about this Arthur C Clarke piece and thought I’d test the waters here on 🦋. These are from my sketchbook. I have a series I’ve been working on for years of my favorite writers and their worlds.

Creativity is like a houseplant, not an endless well. You need to seek out sunlight, water, and nutrients in art, shows, music, experiences, and more to tend to it. And just like plants it has its dormant and active periods and you may not seem improvement for some time.
