Lyle Lovett and his sensational band last night in Lynchburg, Virginia. His voice is showing a bit of its wear—he’s 67 now—but the man is a total professional. This is at least the dozenth time Sarah and I have seen him, and he’s never put on a bad show. And man, his band. Just awesome.

The one sunny day we had this week in the mountains of western NC. Will turns 18 a month from yesterday. I cannot countenance this.
