Someone in one of the many discord servers I'm in is actually interested in my fanfic stuff and I think that actually gave me the motivation I needed to get back to working on it. Hopefully the first chapter will be up by the end of the year.

I didn't think it would happen but my opinions about Yoshiki have definitely soured a bit with this whole Dandadan controversy. A controversy that didn't exist he turned it into one.
I understand that Japan's copyright laws are different than those in the US but fuck me this is ridiculous.

I don't really talk about #MonsterHigh but Spectra has one of my favorite G3 designs. I'm pretty sure it comes from my love for The Haunted Mansion and I genuinely believe Spectra could be related to Madame Leota.

Despite my feelings about certain aspects of #booktok I have to admit that it's amazing that it's been a factor in the new bookstore resurgence.
I'm also hoping that my small town gets a bookstore of some kind (although I'm not as optimistic about that happening).

This is absolutely nuts. Students shouldn't face legal ramifications for just bringing a book to school. Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't that (and removing the book from any library) a violation of First Amendment rights?
