A man from a place. Medievalist. PhD. I have nothing helpful to say, but that absolutely will not stop me.
"I asked her about details of a pending criminal case against her, and she wouldn't make public statements about it!"

*Good.* That's because she's fucking smart. I know it doesn't please the slop-shoveling 24/7 news cycle, but *good*.

I kinda love it every time I see a comment like "Have a friend that was close to $30M net worth." Like yeah man, sure. In imaginary money. Your friend staked his actual net worth on magic beans despite all the big signs saying "magic beans aren't real, you idiot." RIP bozo.

You should have argued for a higher mark on the grounds that "hey, have you seen the average OLC memo on this stuff?"

Can't wait for Trump to force his sad-sack legal team to use 38 of the maximum allowed 40 pages to write more tendentious bullshit, further enraging a judge who explicitly said "no more bullshit." I'm sure it will go great.

@kenwhite.bsky.social Does this mean the truism now is that a grand jury will indict a ham sandwich, but not the guy who threw it?

A poor man's imitation when it comes to facial hair and hats. Just shameful stuff, really.

Man, now I have to rewatch this. It's been too long.

All of these people were arguably too late leaving, because rather than develop the bench and bring up the next generation, they just sort of hung in there and assumed that what worked when they got elected decades ago still holds true to the world today, which is ridiculous!

The problem is not one person or even a handful of people. The problem is the Dem leadership structure is sclerotic and calcified! Power is a thing that accrues the longer you cling to your seat, rather than your ability to lead, or your capability or ideas. The older you are, the more you get.

"Don't worry about the protestors - Hitler's here to make your experience better" Seems like not the best advertising, either.
