Metal Gear Solid was another one I wanted to knock off my checklist and I’m glad I did. I had only played the demo as a kid and figured it wasn’t my kind of game as a kid(I loved jrpgs). Playing it now in this political environment was definitely interesting and I truly loved it.

Felt good to finally watch Emperor’s New Groove which I enjoyed a lot. Bugonia was pretty interesting too and probably my favorite from the director. I’m looking forward to some of the movies from my backlog that I’ll knock out this next week.

Mysterious Skin was truly the highlight this week. Not shown but before Big Hero was Robot carnival and damn, I loved the vibe of the whole film.

After all these years of seeing bits and pieces of Lampoon Christmas I finally sat down and watched the full thing. Also continuing the tradition of watching Rankin/Bass Christmas movies every year.

After all these years of seeing bits and pieces of Lampoon Christmas I finally sat down and watched the full thing. Also continuing the tradition of watching Rankin/Bass Christmas movies every year.

Overall after playing all the mainline titles except 10 it’s somewhat easy to pick my top 5. I do hope to give the translation a chance of X soon but for now my top 5 are:
1. 5
2. 7
3. 8
4. 4
5. 11
Reason I picked 4 over 11 was I felt like towards the end of 11 it got weaker story wise.

2 took what was great with 1 and doubled it, with a bigger map and party it really made for a grand adventure. There are tons of new additions in this version and it’s awesome though towards the end I was starting to feel a little burnt out but that might just be from all the RPGs I played this year

DQ 1 was enjoyable and like all games in the franchise, it was cozy. I normally like a game with a full party but I liked the idea of a solo hero and the way they fleshed the story out a bit to connect to 3 better was good. I felt like the difficulty was balanced well for having no party.

Hell yeah Buster Busts Loose was one of my favorites as a kid. Great haul!

My daughter got into Pokemon(started at XY for some reason) so we decided to watch the movies and….ugh. I’m looking forward to watching and ranking all of the Pokemon movies at some point.

Rewatched Bloodlust which is always a good time. I liked the animation in Redline and Weapons was great. Amnesia gave me that comfy 90s anime feeling and while it wasn’t groundbreaking I really liked the premise behind it.
