Speaking of drink machines, I was on the Tokaido Shinkansen platform yesterday waiting for my train, in front of a Shinkansen Coffee machine. The guy was refilling it. Took over 30mins, so many little containers inside. And the large door is wide open, so many people trying slither around it.

I used that pass last year! Booked a hotel in Omiya and did day trips all over that area. 😀 Perfect for you and your boy!
