Lovely young man Josh gave us a tour of Derwent Valley Fungi and we got a couple of kits to start our mushroom growing experiment. Great small local business at Granton near Hobart, if you want gourmet mushrooms for Christmas or kits as gifts!

Good morning from Snug, Tasmania. The water was warmer than the air today. No seals or sharks, just Morag the dog shivering after her recent haircut.

We can expect the men in power to seal off more of the openings as their “society” depends on trapping women into serving as their safety net.

Other countries have safety nets. The US has women.

Their labor creates the illusion of a DIY society, making it seem like we don't need a net.

Writing HOLDING IT TOGETHER was a labor of love and fury and I'm so grateful to share it with you all #PubDay

Progress on the weaving, working on getting more even edges. Not sure Mimi will be that bothered by what her blanket edges look like, luckily 😂

The water is now 13⁰C so I've ditched the warm swim shorts but I'll keep the vest, bootees and gloves for a little longer. And even though I swim before breakfast I wear a hat 😂. Proper granny swim attire. No seals today! Just lots of tiny translucent fish.

Please spread this far and wide & if you are in WA, please help look for Kendra!

Kendra has been out alone since Friday am and her family is worried sick about her. She has no meds & is part of our community. Kendra recently shaved her head. Della is out looking for her now.

Lets bring her home <3

Very lucky to pick up a loom second hand. I have mum's stash of yarn (she's retired from knitting) and my own plus some handspun wool from my MIL so we'll see how we go! This first try will be a little blanket for my daughter's geriatric cat. Setting everything up was tricky but I'm getting there!

Afternoon and evening at Snug Haus, rainbows followed by a wallaby mum with pouch baby in the paddock. ❤️

Summer vibes at Snug Haus yesterday, the iris and other blue flowers looking pretty around our little bnb cottage. Cool change last night and misty views today.

Was enjoying my quiet Sunday morning swim when a large, farm shape appeared underwater between me and the shore.

Excellent idea! I have seen a few free food libraries here in Australia, too. Judgement free food if you're running short because most of us have been there.
Ahead of the 1st shutdown of US food aid to hungry Americans in 60 years, some of the 200,000 Little Free Library locations are converting into food pantries. Thanks @littlefreelibrary.bsky.social

Day with my grandson yesterday, he was intrigued by the cabbage patch baby I got and dressed for him. Lots of fun, we raced around the sofa, played on the deck, had curry for lunch and went for a walk. I slept well after that 😂.
Cool calm swim this morning. Tomato planting day!
