I ended up deciding to pivot from 2d to 3d for my game because I've been trying to learn pixel art for months and I'm just not having fun with it tbh....
I still wanna keep it really stylized, and pay homage to games that inspired me growing up like Harvest Moon and such.

I think one of the most exciting parts of getting into game development is all the different things you’ll end up having to learn. I’m brand new to pixel art, coding, music production, all that jazz. And I’m so stoked to learn! It’s like one big, fun puzzle to solve, a piece at a time.

i wonder why i keep seeing game devs/ 3d artists on youtube recommending some kind of generative ai or another when there’s so much free stuff you could be using instead like, are we really running out of tiled textures?? not enough building photography to use as references??? tf 💀💀💀
